For The Novice - Horsemanship

Horsemanship is the art of skillful riding, managing, understanding horses and their body language.   Students will learn:

Awareness:

Maintenance:

Transitions:

Develop awareness of their horse, its mood, attitude and level of anxiety/comfort.

 

 

 

Nutrition, hoof care,
and minor medical care.

Moving the horse through transitions easily by the use of body language, "round-penning".

Communication:

Confidence:

Safely communicate
and positively interact with their horse, to gain self confidence

Exposure to obstacles/scenarios and situations that most commonly occur.

Acquire skills enabling you to reach out and know that you can accomplish what you need to do.
